Background

A Teacher First, a Fighter Always

Joe earned a B.A. in Linguistics from UCLA — and that teacher's instinct shows in every class. He doesn't just show you a technique; he helps you understand why it works.

Over 25+ years he's trained across disciplines and absorbed influences from Karate, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, K-1, GLORY, and MMA. As a licensed professional cornerman in California and Nevada for Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA, he's been in the corner where it counts — and he brings that experience to every student, whether they'll ever compete or not.

  • World Tae Kwon Do Federation black belt
  • Licensed pro cornerman (CA & NV) — Boxing, Muay Thai & MMA

How Coach Joe Trains You

Technique First

Power comes from precision. Joe builds your mechanics so your striking holds up when it matters — not just when you're fresh.

Rhythm & Timing

"Rhythm is your friend." Joe teaches you to feel the beat of a fight — when to move, when to strike, when to breathe.

Small-Class Coaching

In a small room, nobody hides. You get watched, corrected, and pushed every session — that's how progress actually happens.

Why It Matters

Why Small Classes Make the Difference

You can't fix what you can't see — and in a packed class, coaches can't see everyone. Strikers stays small on purpose.

Semi-private classes mean Joe and the team catch the small errors before they become bad habits. You progress faster, train safer, and actually get to know the people you're sweating next to. It's a real community, not a turnstile.
